My 5 year-old brought this home from school yesterday. They’re learning a few sight-words, so this booklet is full of them. However, my wife and I both had to re-read this page when we got to it.
How about you?

Thought it said “poop”
Was on the verge of laughing
Then reread it and just smirked

I think the problem is that your kiddo colored the hill the same color as the groundhog. That said, they probably should’ve tried to use the proper term for a groundhog’s lair, which I believe is “burrow.”

Yes, but Lair and Burrow aren’t sight words this month, haha.
I was just happy he stayed mostly in the lines.

He did a good job. Upon further review, I see nothing to rectify.

How about you?
Where else did you expect it to come out?

There is all kinds of innuendo in kids books and such.
Now it’s at the point where my daughter picks up on some of it but my son doesn’t (9 and 8, respectively.)
My son was talking about a Kylo Ren toy.
son: “I want Kylo Ren in my bed.”
daughter: *giggle*

I have this book and have given it as a gift for this exact reason.

Could be worse...

Dude. Your kid’s school needs to double down on the crayon budget. There are other colors than brown, regardless of when you poop out of your hole.

Feb 2 is Brownlog Day.
